What is the Innovation Festival?

Innovation Festival is a two-day event for startups, innovators, corporate partners, investors, innovation ecosystem and more.

The LG NOVA Annual Innovation Festival brings together startups, investors and members of the innovation community to encourage, support, discuss how we can all work together to “innovate for a better life.”

Why attend the Innovation Festival?

At the LG NOVA Innovation Festival, you will have opportunities to connect with LG, corporate partners, industry veterans, entrepreneurs and others in the ecosystem to discuss challenges in the market and explore new business areas.  

At the event, we’re providing learning, mentoring, and discussion opportunities for all attendees. The 2023 event will focus on discussions around building a better future through Digital Health, Clean Tech, Immersive Technologies and Open Innovation.

Innovation Festival will take place October 25 & 26 at The historic Hibernia venue located at 
1 Jones Street, San Francisco, CA

Getting to Hibernia

Nearest Major Airports

  • San Francisco International Airport (SFO) which is 14 miles via US 101N, with about a 45-minute drive depending on traffic and about 18 miles via US 280 N, with about a 50-minute drive depending on traffic
  • Oakland International Airport (OAK) which is about 19 miles via I 880 N and I 80 W with about a 30-minute drive depending on traffic

Public Transportation

BART
Civic Center/UN Plaza Station is nearby some notable San Francisco destinations including City Hall, War Memorial Opera House, Asian Art Museum, Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall, and the Main Branch of the San Francisco Public Library.

MUNI Bus 

  • The nearest bus stop is at Market Street and 7th Street

Will there be Wi-Fi at the Innovation Festival?

Yes, LG NOVA will provide event Wi-Fi for our attendees.

Is there a mobile app?

The mobile app will be live approximately 3 weeks before the LG NOVA Innovation Festival begins.  All attendees will receive an email with information about downloading the app. 

This app will serve as a guide for your time at the Festival. Use it to sign up for sessions, see the event floor plan, connect with other attendees, book meetings, and interact with the event. 

Can I schedule meetings with other attendees?

You can connect with other attendees in two ways;

  1. About three weeks before Innovation Festival, you will receive communication prior to the event about downloading the mobile app.

  2. We’re excited to share that we are working on The Mission connection space where members of our ecosystem community can connect, engage, and set up meetings with one another!  We are launching soon, so please watch out for our invitation to The Mission.

How much does it cost to attend?

There is no cost to attend the LG NOVA Innovation Festival 2023.

What do I do if I have special dietary needs or allergies?

When you register, there is a field to input your dietary information. Innovation Festival will offer a variety of food including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. If you require a Kosher or Halal meal, please indicate this in the diet requirements field during the registration process.

What health & safety precautions are in place for Innovation Festival 2023?

Innovation Festival is working in accordance with The Hibernia and local public entities to ensure safety of all attendees. 

Does the Innovation Festival have a code of conduct?

At LGE & LG NOVA, we believe in equality for all. As such, we are committed to creating event environments that are diverse, inclusive, safe, and free from discrimination, regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, or any other classification protected by law.

All participants of Innovation Festival must abide by the following policy:

Expected Behavior

  1. Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative.
  2. Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behavior and speech.
  3. Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert event staff if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
  4. Wear your badge at all times while at the event venue.

Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behaviors may include but are not limited to:

  1. Harassment and discrimination includes any verbal, physical, or visual conduct based on sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, race, age, national origin, or disability. 
  2. Any boisterous, lewd or offensive behavior or language, using sexually explicit or offensive language or conduct, profanity, obscene gestures, or racial, religious or ethnic slurs.
  3. Wearing clothing that is not suitable for a professional work environment, that is provocative, inappropriate or otherwise potentially offensive.
  4. Possession of a weapon or any item that can be used as a weapon, which may be used to threaten or cause injury to others if used in a certain manner.
  5. Any destruction or vandalizing of personal property or event site or materials.
  6. Possessing any open can, bottle or other receptacle containing any alcoholic beverages, except in areas specifically designated for the consumption of alcohol or being intoxicated, as determined by LG NOVA, in any event venue or function. Please drink responsibly.
  7. Possessing any illegal substance. LG NOVA does not tolerate the use or abuse of illegal substances anywhere in the event venue.
  8. Smoking is not permitted at the venue. 
  9. Assembling for the purpose of, or resulting in, disturbing the peace, or committing any unlawful act or engaging in any offensive behavior.
  10. Any other illegal activity not already covered above.
  11. Failure to obey any of the rules or regulations of the event venues or instructions of the event staff.
  12. Sharing your event badge with other individuals.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the event without warning or refund and if appropriate, involvement of local law enforcement.

Safety tips for spending time in San Francisco Bay Area
  • Upon leaving the Innovation Festival, be sure to remove your badge.
  • Keep your eyes up, your ears open, and your phone away on city streets and public transportation. This will lower the chance of theft and keep you safe on San Francisco Bay Area busy streets.
  • Carry your wallet in the front pocket of your pants or the inside pocket of your jacket.
  • Avoid leaving bags on the ground or over the back of your chair.
  • Bay Area folks are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We encourage visitors to ask shopkeepers, hotel staff, or police officers for assistance.
